Since the club was founded in 1906, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has always placed the values of solidarity and mutual aid at the heart of its development. The ACO has now formalised its commitments to sustainable development with a three-pronged approach known as “EngageMans”: ENGAGEMANS FOR THE PLANET, ENGAGEMANS FOR A RESPONSIBLE ECONOMY, ENGAGEMANS FOR ALL

To take the CSR strategy introduced in June 2021 a step further, the ACO presented the Carbon Audit of its showcase event at the 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans. It also revealed a clear objective – Race to 2030 – to reduce its CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030. 

Race to 2030 is the ACO's and the 24 Hours of Le Mans' ambition to meet the climate challenge. ACO’s plan to cut CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 and to contribute to projects designed to sequester the equivalent of the remaining emissions.

This trophy was created in 2021 by the ACO to reward the CSR actions of teams competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA WEC. It rewards the competitors' commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Its aim is to encourage teams to innovate and act for the ecological and solidarity-based transition through innovative actions with a positive social or environmental impact. 

Since 2023, participation has been mandatory for all teams, and has been integrated into the regulations of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship (WEC). 

Recognition for all the actions implemented in the scope of our CSR strategy! The third edition of the Sustainable Circuits Index™ (SCI™), published by Enovation Consulting shows Le Mans’ Bugatti circuit in joint fifth place among the world’s motorsport venues adopting the best sustainable development practices.The report notes that “Circuit de la Sarthe made impressive progress across many sustainability parameters in 2022”.

Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque is a charity organisation supported by the ACO and the 24 Hours of Le Mans for over 12 years. This partnership has helped save the lives of more than 120 children by financing vital heart surgery. 

The Bugatti circuit and the 24 Hours of Le Mans received FIA 2* Environmental Accreditation in 2022. The target is to achieve 3* Accreditation in 2024.

The Green Ticket is a reduced-price ticket for people who use low-carbon transport (low-impact fuel car [gasoline and diesel vehicles not eligible], electric or hybrid vehicles, train, carpooling, or tram or bicycle (for local residents)) or who carpool to travel to the race.

As a Green Ticket holder, you are entitled to
- a 10% discount on your admission ticket
- a reusable eco-cup (subject to availability)
- and the ACO will donate €1 per Green Ticket to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque

The Green Ticket is only available to visitors residing in mainland France and European countries.

You can purchase up to two tickets per booking.

Once you have confirmed your order, you will receive a confirmation email at the address you gave when you opened your account. You will be requested to open a Green Ticket account.

If you have not received the email, a typo may have prevented the confirmation from being sent or your inbox may have blocked the incoming email.

If you have booked in “Guest” mode, we advise you to create an account for easier tracking of your bookings.

Once you have opened a Green Ticket account, indicate your principal means of transport for getting to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

You will then be able to upload proof of your main mode of transport (hybrid or electric car registration document, train or TER ticket, proof of carpooling via an official platform, tram/bike ticket + proof of address). Your Green Ticket will be valid once we have checked your eligibility.

If you cannot provide proof of eligibility, you will no longer be entitled to the price discount and will be asked to pay the difference.
The ticket will be rendered invalid if you fail to provide adequate proof.

If you fail to meet the eligibility conditions before the event, your ticket will be changed to a generic version, and you will be required to pay the difference in price.

We will send you an email once your Green Ticket has been confirmed, so you can download:

 - Your e-ticket and print it from your online account. E-tickets should be printed in colour or black-and-white, on a sheet of white A4 (21x29.7cm) paper. To avoid rejection, please make sure the impression is of good quality and clearly readable.

- Your mticket on your smartphone. We recommend saving it in a safe place on your telephone. If you chose DHL delivery, you will be informed of delivery via the tracking service.

At the end of the booking process, or from your confirmation email, you can download:

- an e-ticket in the form of a pdf to be saved and printed
- an m-ticket on your smartphone. We recommend saving your m-ticket in your phone’s Downloads folder.

Yes, tickets are transferable.
However, in accordance with our General Terms & Conditions, it is illegal to resell a ticket.

A Green Ticket entitles you to 10% off your admission price.

The following means of transport will be considered valid:

- Electric vehicle
- Low-impact fuel car [gasoline and diesel vehicles not eligible]
- Hybrid vehicle
- Carpooling
- Long-distance train
- Local train
- Tram (for local residents only)
- Bicycle (for local residents only)

If your ticket has been cancelled or your eligibility contested, it means we have not been able to approve your proof or your mode of transport under the scheme. Our Ticket Office will contact you to process your application.

Under-16s accompanied by an adult ticket-holder are admitted free of charge (born after 06/16/2008). Please show photo ID indicating the child’s date of birth at the gate.
Children will be issued with a wristband on which to write their name and your telephone number.

Admission + Grandstand tickets are free for children under 8 (born after 06/16/2016) sat on the lap of an accompanying adult in possession of a valid Admission + Grandstand ticket. For children aged between 8 and 16, a special rate applies for Admission + Grandstand tickets. Upload proof of age when booking.

Long-distance train:  Scan of the ticket or screenshot of an SNCF ticket purchase indicating Le Mans or Sablé for a journey made between 7 and 17 June.
Local train (TER): Scan of the ticket or screenshot of an SNCF ticket purchase indicating Le Mans, Arnage, La Suze sur Sarthe, Sablé, Laigné St Gervais, St Mars la Brière, Champagné, Château du Loir, Ecommoy or La Flèche for a journey made between 7 and 17 June.
​Tram:  Proof of SETRAM season ticket or scan of the ticket + proof of residence in the local area (postcode areas 72000, 72100, 72190, 72380, 72530, 72540, 72550, 72650 and 72700).
Bicycle: Proof of residence in the local area (postcode areas 72000, 72100, 72190, 72210, 72220, 72230, 72530, 72560 and 72700).

Once you have received the rejection email, you can upload the correct proof.
If you are unable to provide the requested proof, you need to tick the box indicating that you are unable to justify your eligibility. The Ticket Office will then contact you to find a solution.

According to our terms and conditions of sale, ticket purchases cannot be refunded.
ABSENCE OF COOLING-OFF PERIOD
Under article L.121-21-8 of the French consumer code, the cooling-off period, during which a purchase can be cancelled, does not apply to leisure activities on a specified date.

The ACO's CSR policy is applied throughout the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. It is reflected in each of its activities (waste management, material recovery, short circuits, associations present, visits by young students, on track with fuel or tires, the Green Ticket...).

For several years, the ACO has been working with the Restos du Cœur food bank charity to collect surplus food and distribute it to people in need. In 2023, almost 13.6 tonnes of food were collected and redistributed through the Sarthe area after the 24 Hours of Le Mans (fresh produce, meat, vegetables, bread, pastries, etc.).
This produce is collected from restaurant owners at the circuit and from the teams in the paddock. 

Priority is given to farm-to-fork supply chains. The ACO is working with the restaurant owners to increase the proportion of food supplied by local producers on their menu. In 2022, over 40 tonnes of food came from farm-to-fork and organic or quality-labelled produce suppliers. 

Paprec is the company responsible for waste management at the 24 Hours of Le Mans site all year round.
The ACO and Paprec share the aim of achieving 80% material recovery for the waste generated at the circuit (and just 20% energy recovery).
